CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee all accounting operations for all locations/entities for funding activities for our clients and groups
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster the team's growth
• Constantly seek for improvement opportunities and drive changes
• Play a key role in supporting the implementations of various financial information systems
• Partner with functional partners across the organization to support corporate initiatives
• Design, implement and maintain appropriate policies and procedures to enable accurate and timely financial reporting, which is compliant with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor key internal controls to ensure compliance with the organization's policies and procedures.
• Advise, develop and assist in the design and implementation of corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
• Evaluate, develop and implement cash management system to optimize efficiencies.
• Responsible for timely reconciliation of company managed Bank Accounts, including resolution of any unreconciled differences.
• Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements in the area of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
• Oversee and manage the hiring, professional development, and annual evaluation process for staff.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5 years of Health Care Experience a plus
• Prior experience with building and scaling Accounting Operations teams
• Experience using NetSuite preferred, experience with similar accounting systems accepted
• Experience with post-acquisition systems and process integration
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize contending workloads in a fast paced high-growth environment
• Experience with ERP implementations or significant enhancement projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company
• Superior management and multi-tasking skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting practices. Strong knowledge of emerging systems, tools, and best practices.
• Ability to lead and manage multiple plans and programs with excellent organization, planning, strategic and innovative thinking, focus, flexibility, and timeliness in collaboration with others; mature judgment and decision-making ability; must maintain confidentiality at all levels of the organization (internally and externally).
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team settings, with senior leadership and with a diverse range of internal and external colleagues.
• Must display a high level of energy and self-motivation.
