Director of Financial Reporting

A growing private company near Ewing, NJ, is in need of a Director of Tax Accounting to join their team. This position will report to the CFO and will oversee all aspects of the tax functions. Responsibilities include:
•Oversee and manage all tax matters including compliance, reporting tax planning and strategy, and incentive tax opportunities
•Facilitate and manage the accurate and timely preparation and filing of the company's state, local and federal tax forms, as well as tax filings for international locations
•Monitor changes to tax laws and regulations, and lead appropriate updates policies and strategies
•Analyze impact of key transactions and decisions on tax
•Manage and facilitate tax inquiries and audits by the relevant authorities
•In collaboration with the Director of Accounting, work with counsel and external auditors as needed
•Develop and maintain the required record keeping support for all tax matters related to the company’s business activities
•Identify and address opportunities for improvement and areas of risk within existing processes
•Support special tax and legal related projects

Requirements:
•CPA or JD/active law license highly desirable
•10 years of experience in a tax accounting role and at least 3 years of experience in a management role
•Experience working in public accounting or corporate tax department
•Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
•Excellent knowledge of federal, state and local taxation for corporations
•Knowledge of IFRS (GST/VAT in Canada/EU) and transfer pricing documentation
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Direct experience with ASC 740
•Ability to organize and prioritize tasks independently and as a team
•Strong management skills
