The File Clerk will be responsible for performing various basic clerical tasks, including managing and maintaining physical and digital filing systems, operating office equipment, and completing general office work. The File Clerk role will be located in Midwest City, Oklahoma and is a short-term contract / temporary opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Retrieving data within allotted time frames
- Administer proper guidelines to arrange high volumes of letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed documents according to specific guidelines
- Manage quality control of documents to ensure proper filing
- Handle documents and tasks related to faxing, archiving, scanning, filing, and word processing
- Handle and support diverse projects on the behalf of other employees
- Gathering and indexing materials to be filed from departments and employees
- Answering questions about records and files
Requirements
- Prepared to handle office equipment
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required of all applications for this position
- Knowledge of Word and Excel
- Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
- Comprehensive knowledge of Document Scanning
- Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
- Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
- 1 year experience of file clerking preferred
