Robert Half currently has an excellent opportunity for an entry level aspiring Human Resources Assistant to work 100% in-office. The Human Resources Assistant will be accountable for a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This opening is with an organization in the Oakland, California area and is a short-term contract / temporary position.
What you get to do every single day
- Update employee database information
- Use ADP to update personnel files
- 75% of the role is data entry into MS Excel and ADP
- Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities
Requirements
- Highly professional and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
- MUST have at least 6 months HR related experience
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel spreadsheets
- Personnel file maintenance experience highly preferred
- Practical knowledge of Personnel Records
- General familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration
- Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
