We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an HR/Payroll Specialist in Penfield, New York. - Processing weekly payroll for a group of employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
- Preparing certified payroll reports as required and managing changes as necessary.
- Overseeing and maintaining time clock systems to ensure accurate tracking of employee hours, including monitoring and tracking attendance records.
- Completing onboarding paperwork for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and filed.
- Setting up new employees in the payroll system and ensuring they are enrolled in applicable benefits.
- Managing the setup of health benefits for new employees and handling changes and updates to employee benefits as needed.
- Assigning company gas cards and Home Depot credit cards to employees as required.
- Assisting employees with filling out FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), short-term disability, and long-term disability paperwork.
- Managing prevailing wage on private jobs and handling a variety of HR and administrative tasks.
