The Manager of IT Infrastructure (“Manager”) is responsible for managing all aspects of the IT infrastructure. The role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for managing complex IT infrastructure environments and looking for an exciting opportunity to take on new challenges. The position is a salaried role located in the Boston office, offering the flexibility to work remotely three days a week. The Manager reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (“CIO”).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and monitor all aspects of the IT infrastructure including server environment, storage, backups, patching, data & telephony, internet circuits, LAN/WAN/WLAN and offsite data center.
• Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the IT infrastructure by implementing and maintaining security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and backup systems.
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure team, including task delegation, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the IT infrastructure team to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with other IT Managers (Helpdesk/User Support, Training, Desktop Engineering, Applications and Security) to ensure effective collaboration between groups in the IT department.
• Work with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
• Collaborate with the Manager of IT Security to ensure the IT infrastructure is protected against cyber threats and to remediate vulnerabilities as necessary.
• Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT infrastructure-related services and equipment.
• Work with the Chief Information Officer to prepare and manage the IT infrastructure budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to the IT infrastructure, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, including server environment, storage, backups, telecom, telephony, internet, data center, and patching. Prior management experience preferred.
• Experience with hyperconverged server environments (vxRail) preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services (Azure and AWS) is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the following:
o Microsoft back office (Active Directory, Windows server OS, Exchange Online and Azure)
o VMware vSphere virtual server infrastructure
o Cisco network and voice infrastructure.
o Data backup and redundancy systems, including Veeam and Zerto.
o Fortinet firewall and VPN infrastructure.
o Aruba and Meraki wireless network systems.
o Citrix and NetScaler remote access.
o Darktrace network security.
o Multifactor authentication tools (Duo, MS Authenticator.)
o SolarWinds monitoring and alerting.
o Network protocols (DHCP, DNS), security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of IT professionals.
• Strong Project Management skills with the ability to see projects through from beginning to end, including defining project scope, setting success criteria, outlining projects milestones and deliverables then working with stakeholders to ensure success.
