We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Clerk to join our team in Batavia, Illinois. In this role, you will be primarily handling inventory management and clerical duties in a manufacturing setting. You will split your time between the office and warehouse, ensuring a smooth flow of inventory operations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and update purchase orders in the inventory system
- Match purchase orders to the corresponding inventory items
- Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Track inventory levels and report any discrepancies
- Interact with suppliers for inventory-related inquiries and issues
- Unload and organize shipments received in the warehouse
- Assist in organizing the warehouse to ensure efficient location and retrieval of items
- Perform clerical duties related to inventory management
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse environment
- Liaise between the office and warehouse to ensure seamless operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Inventory Clerk role or similar
- Proficient in clerical duties including data entry, filing and maintaining records
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations
- Knowledge of purchasing materials and inventory management
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift and move heavy items when necessary
