POSITION: INVESTMENT ACCOUNTANT (INSURANCE)
LOCATION: HARTFORD - HYBRID (2 DAYS IN OFFICE / 3 DAYS REMOTE)

Investment Accountant opportunity within highly successful and thriving Insurance Organization known for its outstanding culture and track record for promoting from within! Robert Half has partnered with its valued Client in search of an up and coming Investment Accountant looking to take their career to the next level. The Investment Accountant is a visible role throughout the organization supporting the Manager and Director of Investment Accounting and liaising closely with Corporate Finance, and Statutory Reporting and external vendors. The role comes with a broad range of responsibilities including reconciling bank accounts and the investment accounting system related reports to the general ledger, footnote preparation and reconciliations to financial reporting and journal entries, creating various investment schedules for management reports, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate for this promising Investment Accountant position will possess a BS in Accounting in addition to 3 years of related investment accounting experience within the Insurance industry. Previous experience preparing STAT journal entries is highly valued in this position. CPA or MBA is a big plus.

• Insurance industry experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of Statutory Accounting
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access)
