Robert Half is working with a prestigious and well-respected law firm in search of a Legal Secretary to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing crucial administrative support to multiple senior attorneys and senior paralegals. Your attention to detail and ability to manage various tasks will be essential in maintaining the efficiency of their legal practice. This position is in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Job Description:As a Legal Secretary, you will serve as a key support resource for the senior attorneys and paralegals. Your responsibilities will include managing office equipment, maintaining calendars, records, and handling various administrative tasks. Your efficiency, discretion, and ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment will be critical in ensuring the smooth operation of their legal practice.Key Responsibilities:Order and manage office equipment and supplies, ensuring that the office runs smoothly.Coordinate and maintain multiple calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, and court dates.Keep detailed records, including case files, correspondence, and client information.Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distribution, and ensuring timely delivery of legal documents.Answer and screen phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate attorneys or paralegals.Assist in preparing and formatting legal documents, such as briefs, contracts, and pleadings.Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals as needed, including managing travel arrangements and expense reports.Qualifications:Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm is strongly preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with an eye for detail.Proficiency in using legal software and office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and discreet demeanor.Knowledge of legal terminology, document formats, and procedures is a plus.Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
