Robert Half if partnering with a local organization to help them find a qualified Network Engineer. If you have a strong interest in networking hardware and software, you might be right for this job. Our client needs someone who is well versed in interfacing, security, Internet protocols and server and network infrastructure. This permanent Network Engineer position is 100% onsite and located in the Marysville, Washington area.
What you get to do every single day:
- Contribute top-notch support and technical expertise in networking technology such as hubs, bridges, hardware and routers
- Maintain a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
- Perform updates, patching, and full system upgrades for all L 2 and 1.3 network equipment
- Work alongside vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks
- Use traditional and creative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice and video networks
- Install, wireless access points in designated locations; inspect connectivity and signal strength for quality
- Perform routine security checks to ensure network integrity
- Provide after hour support
Requirements
Must have:
- 3 years networking experience
- No stranger to network design, administration, and implementation strategies of TCP/IP networks
- Strong familiarity with Palo Alto, Juniper, & Aruba Networks
- Can manage firewalls, switches, and perform cable installation
- Previous experience designing network and datacenter installations utilizing L2 and L3 protocols
- Adeptness in Protocols such as BGP & OSPF
- Knowledge of WAN topologies, telecommunications products, and protocols
Salary : $90,000 - $135,000
