Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization.Bilingual in Spanish is required *Proficiency in ADP Workforce NOW is requiredType: Contract to HireSchedule: Monday - Friday (Fully Onsite)Required to work every other Saturday to process biweekly payrollResponsibilities:Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on timeMaintain payroll records, including timekeeping and attendance systemsEnsure compliance with federal and state payroll regulationsAddress payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepanciesCollaborate with HR to verify employee data and address payroll changesAssist in month-end and year-end payroll closing processesGenerate payroll reports for management as neededWork closely with the Payroll Team to ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, deduction, wage and hour and tax laws.Assist in conducting regular audits of payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring payroll accuracy and mitigating compliance risks.Generate and review standard payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax reports, and 401K benefit summaries, to verify data accuracy and completenessPerform basic data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, or potential issues in payroll dataCreate new reporting as needed and download and distribute accounting reportsProcess Bi-weekly payroll and support the processing of bi-weekly payroll for employees including but not limited to garnishments, current and retro benefits, and taxesServe as a backup resource for bi-weekly payroll processing during peak periods, vacations, or in the absence of other team members.Collaborate with the payroll specialist to ensure timely and accurate payment to employeesAssist with processing of ad hoc manual and final paychecks for employees as needed.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the HRIS, Time and Attendance and/or payroll system.Maintain and audit employee payroll record, tax information, and other relevant payroll data in the HRIS database.Coordinate with HR about changes in Payroll (terminations, new hires, etc) and assist HR with Importing data as needed.
