How you will make an impact
- Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
- Recruit and retain a team, as well as motivate it to success
- Ensure senior executives and cross-functional business leaders are up to date by presenting accurate information and answering any questions
- Collaborate with other members of senior Finance leadership team
- Run payroll operations and manage staff members
- When needed, conduct accurate and timely payroll analysis
- Provide internal safeguards by taking the lead on record keeping and control systems
- Produce all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs, in addition to explaining pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensuring proper amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
- Manage pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies
- Responsible for all internal and external audits
- Better current processes by proposing, heading, and working on projects
