What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Robert Half?
This position reports to the Payroll Supervisor and is responsible for the processing of domestic and international payrolls and general ledger related functions. In addition, this role is responsible for pulling and analyzing reports for the payroll team.

Job Accountabilities:
• Process domestic payrolls on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis including but not limited to extracting timesheets and vacation files and uploading to the payroll system verifying gross to net results ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Provide all necessary funding requests to Treasury after each bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll.
• Demonstrated mathematical skills to calculate salaries, payroll documents, vacation and sick leave accruals, and payroll changes.
• Submit Union Dues monthly payment into the invoice management system and email employee list to Union Representative.
• Participate in and contribute to all payroll projects, as directed • Create, run and analyze bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reports for Accounting and HR.
• Create ad-hoc payroll reports and provide payroll information as needed.
• Assist with year-end W2 review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with tax inquiries and new tax jurisdiction setups with the tax agencies and in the payroll system.
• Respond to all payroll inquiries received in a timely manner.
• Assist with reviewing and updating SOX narratives and payroll process documentation as needed.
• Work with HR, Benefits, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, Flight Ops Admin and various business units to resolve issues and provide payroll support and information as needed. • Working knowledge of payroll related best practices, applicable wage and hour regulations and strong ability to accurately interpret and apply organizational procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or related major preferred.
• 5 years’ experience with hands-on multi-state domestic payroll.
• Crew payroll processing experience preferred.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HR/Payroll/Benefits, Ceridian Workforce Management time reporting
• Ceridian Experience required
• Knowledge of payroll general ledger
• General knowledge of all federal, state and local payroll tax laws and filing, reporting and compliance requirements.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and know how to prioritize.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform complex analysis, gather data and produce complex reports.
• Ability to provide positive and professional customer service reflecting time-sensitivity and the highest degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction by being a self-starter in setting priorities and completing assignments with various deadlines on a timely basis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
