Your responsibilities in this role
- Prepare and organize purchase orders
- Request cost proposals, negotiating contracts and prices
- Complete detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)
- Manage records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
- Assess and compare suppliers, goods, and services
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
- Research supplier profiles and analyze offers
- Track inventory levels and decide on purchase needs

Requirements
- Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
- Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Must be very organized and skilled in documentation
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in inventory management software programs, CRM, and ERP
- Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
