Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for a Purchasing Agent. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible to work and negotiate with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. As the Purchasing Agent you will be locating suppliers, researching goods, services and materials and processing purchasing orders. Are you are a highly analytical and deadline oriented professional? Your responsibilities
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
- Process and prepare purchase orders
- Track levels of inventory and own purchasing needs
- Perform research and then compare suppliers, goods, and services
- Support maintenance of records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
- Complete detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)
- Request cost proposals, negotiating contracts and prices
- Look into supplier profiles and examine offers
