What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Robert Half?
A growing medical group in El Segundo is seeking a strong Senior Accountant to join their team. This Senior Accountant will be responsible for processing reconciliation, entering journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, working with the general ledger, and supporting year-end audit. They will work directly below the controller and be responsible for accounting duties such as financial statement preparation, month end close support, and statistical and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant should possess a strong understanding of healthcare data and regulations.
· Assist with monthly financial closing of multiple sets of books.
· Prepare and post journal entries from source documents and perform account activity analysis.
· Maintain accurate financial records, including but not limited to, balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entry support and appropriate detail for ad-hoc analysis.
· Analyze financial statements and provide concise explanations for variances.
· Maintain financial spreadsheets for administrative and analysis purposes.
· Prepare monthly company credit card spending analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting
- 5 years of Finance and Accounting experience in a healthcare organization
- A thorough understanding of US GAAP compliance
- Strong ERP system experience
