Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will play an integral part in overseeing financial operations, establishing the company’s internal audit function, and engaging in high-level accounting tasks. The role involves the preparation of detailed financial reports, compliance with current accounting standards, and collaboration in audit procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and conduct the company's audit processes, ensuring transparency and compliance.
- Establish and oversee an effective internal audit function within the company.
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial reports and forecast financial performance.
- Comply with standard accounting principles and company procedures.
- Engage in higher-level accounting work, including complex problem-solving and strategic financial planning.
- Collaborate with external auditors to carry out audits and implement audit best practices.
- Use financial software and databases to track, manage, and analyze financial data.
- Provide guidance to junior staff and create a positive, team-oriented work atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Public audit experience, with a focus on establishing and managing internal audit functions.
- Proficiency in higher-level accounting practices and financial strategies.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in financial management software and databases, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
