Senior Java Developer

Description

We are on the search for a Senior Java Developer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is centered around software delivery, product mindset, and growth mindset in the software development industry. Offering a short-term contract employment opportunity, the successful candidate will be pivotal in improving our daily work processes, engaging in all aspects of product lifecycle, and growing their skills in Lean Product Development.

Responsibilities:

Be accountable for software delivery while influencing the team to adopt new behaviors and ways of working based on frequent inspection and rapid feedback.

Facilitate team ceremonies in collaboration with relevant team members.

Identify gaps in agile and technical practices and seek remedies collaboratively.

Develop soft skills such as communication, adaptability, and constructive feedback.

Work with the delivery manager to identify training and growth opportunities.

Help articulate and eliminate team blockers with the Delivery Manager as needed.

Participate in architecture and software design with the squad, encouraging the team to work on new ideas and emergent iterative design.

Partner with the Product Owner, focusing on business value to support the squad's overall delivery.

Show a strong willingness to learn and show vulnerability when unfamiliar with something.

Write code daily, balancing between technical coaching and hands-on development work.

Requirements

Proficiency in Java programming language is a must.
Experience with JavaScript and SQL is required.
Familiarity with Oracle database management.
Knowledge of cloud technologies is essential.
Ability to optimize software performance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Background in Agile Scrum methodology.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders and partners.
Experience in creating and executing database queries.
Demonstrated ability in metric reporting.
Knowledge of internet and website functionalities.
Experience in design and production of software solutions.
Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies.
Proficiency in finance-related software solutions.
Experience in providing training to junior developers.
Ability to follow and improve established practices within the team.
