This Sr. Accountant role is with a well-established manufacturing firm and prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. - Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
- Engage in various department-wide initiatives
- Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Requirements
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- 3 years of overall general accounting experience
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
- BA/BS in Accounting
- Practical knowledge of Fixed Asset Inventory
- Foundational knowledge in journal entries
- Adjusting Journal Entries experience
- Background working with SYSPRO
- Month end closings experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Ledger Account Reconciliation
- General familiarity with Fixed Asset Depreciation
- General ledger experience required
- Strong familiarity with Post Journal Entries
- Solid understanding of Prepare Financial Statements
- Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
- Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
