As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial reports, monitoring transactions, and analyzing account reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain and monitor the subsidiary system of fixed and prepaid assets.
- Compile and reconcile various financial reports to provide an accurate representation of the company's financial position.
- Regularly monitor the flow of transactions in and out of the general ledger, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Analyze account reconciliations for accuracy and provide guidance to account custodians on proper procedures.
- Prepare periodic reports on the status of account reconciliations for management, ensuring timely submission and flagging any problematic accounts.
- Participate in the month-end close, preparation of board reports, and other regulatory reports.
- Analyze and research general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data according to accounting policies.
- Prepare and review journal entries that support closing and financial statement presentation.
- Take a lead role in the development of accounting procedures and processes.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, research and resolve discrepancies, and prepare monthly reconciliation for audits.
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3 years of financial services experience
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial.
