Think 401(K), PAID LEAVE, and PAID TUITION for those looking to turbo-boost their career advancement.Responsibilities: • Spin out accurate and complete journal entries • Get your detective hat on for reconciling general ledger accounts, resolving any discrepancies • Analyze and draft monthly financial statements • Refresh month-end close checklists and calendars • Uphold internal controls and accounting policies • Certificate the general ledger's accuracy and completeness • Deliver top-notch account reconciliations and supporting documentation • Generate and maintain accruals and prepaid schedules • Crunch and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports • Investigate financial data and enlighten us with variance explanations • Partner with other departments to collect and review financial intel • Join audit forces, preparing audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries • Observe GAAP and company accounting policies • Spot opportunities for process improvements and spearhead best practices • Take an active role in special projects and system implementationsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA is highly preferred2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, ideally in a service-oriented industry Experience thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Robust knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingIntermediate Excel skills (pivot tables and h/v look ups) Proficiency in accounting software (Lawson & AS400 a plus) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills To apply to this Senior Accountant role please do so through this posting or reach out to Caren Bromberg Bach on LinkedIn or call Caren Bach at 301.965.9035.
