Compensation: $65000.00 to $80000.00 yearly
Staff Accountant candidates will be interested in Robert Half's full-time opportunity with an innovative company. Candidates will need to be capable of rising to a variety of challenges while juggling multiple components of a fast-paced environment. You might be a good fit for this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Other responsibilities include internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Responsibilities
- Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
- Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
- Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
- Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
- Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
- ERP system experience
- Spreadsheet and database capabilities
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Accounting Control experience required
- Accounting Entries experience desired
- Property Management Accounting experience highly desired
- Adeptness in Real Estate Accounting
- Deep understanding of Corporate Accounting
- Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- Recent and relevant accounting experience
- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
