This Staff Accountant role's duties will work directly with the Controller for monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Key responsibilities
- -Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries, including allocations, prepaids, accruals and adjustments according to monthly close schedule
- Prepare all post close internal reporting for Corporate, including Balance Sheet and P& L flux analysis, SG& A reporting, close reporting and profit center detail
- Monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts and bank accounts
- Perform month-end closing process, analysis, and reporting of accounting information for internal management reporting, external reporting and audit purposes
- Preparation of external audit schedules for annual and interim external audits
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines and handle multiple task environment
- Assist with the research and resolution of accounting issues, inclusive of and not limited to partnering with team staff of issue resolution
- Prepare and run payroll runs.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience
- CPA preferred.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team while enhancing personal and departmental performance.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication, skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and Corporate.
- Must possess strong computer skills overall, including the ability to navigate between different systems.
- QuickBooks Online experience preferred.
