Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate closely with the Finance and Bank Operations teams to comprehend client portfolios, fund structures, and service expectations.
- Perform a variety of reconciliations to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate the opening and closing of general ledger accounts and maintain meticulous records.
- Document processes and procedures related to all relevant functions within scope.
- Review the work of reconciliation and accounting specialists for accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to address issues and inquiries.
- Attend meetings and conference calls to discuss challenges and business developments.
- Identify and resolve reconciling items and exceptions, collaborating with Finance and other operational areas.
- Assist in developing reconciliation processes for new products or partner bank relationships.
- Report findings and discrepancies according to established timelines and procedures.
- Create, update, and report monthly reconciliations in adherence to Reconciliation Policy and SOX requirements.
- Contribute actively to corporate projects and initiatives involving the reconciliation team.
- Work closely with Tech Support to improve existing processes and systems.
- Conduct daily and monthly account reconciliations promptly and accurately.
- Utilize various techniques and reconciliation software to identify settlement discrepancies and out-of-balance conditions.
- Notify appropriate management levels, internal departments, and external parties of identified problems and discrepancies.
