Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Other responsibilities include internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. To thrive in this position, you will need to be a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.Your responsibilities- Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management- Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease- Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision- Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
