What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Robert Half?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. Client is looking for someone with either construction or service industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, adjusting entries.
- Reconcile accounts to the general ledger.
- Strong attention to detail and that can handle multiple tasks at once.
- Experience with Spectrum ARP would be a plus.
- Experience with a month end closing for proper financial statements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- 3 years prior accounting experience is preferred with familiarity of construction accounting, standard practices and procedures related GAAP.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and vendors, demonstrating a natural customer service orientation and highly competent negotiation skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
