Collaborating Physician - Alabama (Remote)

We are currently seeking additional Collaborating Physicians to join our growing team in Alabama as we further extend our operations serving area communities.

Rock Oak Services Group (operating as Stopwatch Urgent Care in Alabama) is a premier provider of urgent care services to the communities we serve. With ten locations across the state, we deliver a unique patient-centered approach to urgent care services and are focused on quality and compliance for our facilities.

As a collaborative physician, you oversee the care provided by the nurse practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) within the urgent care facilities. NP/PAs diagnose, treat, and monitor patients on a daily basis. The role of the collaborative physician is to review the patient’s medical records on a regular schedule to ensure the patients receive the care and treatment they need. Our State and Regional Directors will provide the day-to-day oversight and support for the NP/PAs.

This position will be part-time and may be paid on a 1099 or W-2 stipend basis, depending upon candidate preference.  No other benefits apply.

Responsibilities

The physician collaborates with the NP / PA in the provision of medical services to evaluate and diagnose patients as appropriate according to APA and best practice guidelines, including the prescribing of controlled substances. The Collaborating Physician is available to the NP / PA for consultation and quality review meetings as required by State regulations.

Rock Oak hires, trains, and audits the NP / PA and provides day to day supervision of the NP / PA.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of practice (MD/DO)
• Current License is Active in the state of Alabama
• Primary Specialties in Family Practice or Emergency Medicine
• Currently not enrolled in the Medicare Opt-Out program
• DEA license
