More Information:
Summer of Discovery is the multi-year re-design of summer learning in Rochester Public School. It is considered a “special project” under the REA contract. Principals will hire teachers based on their ability to meet the needs of the students at their site. Job sharing is welcome in Summer of Discovery, and we encourage applicants to identify their job share partner, if at all possible.
This posting is intended for both classroom teachers and for the position of “special expert teacher” at Summer of Discovery sites. The “special expert” role (one per site) is intended to provide each site with one additional teacher who can bring a specific area of expertise to the program (e.g., social emotional learning), which opens the door to expanded experiences for students.
