SUMMARY
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. The SICU/Neurocritical Care Unit specializes in the care of high acuity patients with life-threatening surgical illness or injury. Patients are admitted from a number of services including general surgery, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, stroke, Gyn/Oncology, and obstetrics. The SICU has earned the GOLD-Level Beacon Award for Excellence presented by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). The Beacon Award for Excellence recognizes hospital units that utilize measurable practices to improve patient and family outcomes and experience.
STATUS: Full Time (36 hrs)
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: SICU/Neurocritical Care Unit
SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night, every other Weekend/Holiday

RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experience
Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal
Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process
EDUCATION:
- BS: Nursing (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
- RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PAY RANGE: $38.22 - $50.96
