As Delaware’s first private behavioral health hospital, Rockford Center has been providing behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment to individuals and families in Delaware and the surrounding region since 1974. Our 138-bed facility offers easy access to a wide range of inpatient behavioral health care and day treatment programs for children, teens, adults, and seniors, in addition to a substance use disorder intensive outpatient program for adults.
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Director to join our team. This position is responsible for executing Human Resource activities at the facility for all functional areas, (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, etc.) and serves as a professional resource for facility management on all HR related activities.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional level planning, reporting and analysis to support the goals and objectives of the organization
- Resolves conflicts to protect the organization’s assets
- Provides expertise and recommendations to support management decisions
- Ensures HR activities are in compliance with State and Federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts
- Oversees all HR functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training/orientation, employee relations, workers’ compensation and maintaining all personnel records in files and the HRIS

Qualifications:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 3 years human resources management experience required, and 5 years of human resources in healthcare preferred.
- PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
- Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and an understanding of Federal and State employment laws and regulations related to HR. Working knowledge of administering wage/salary programs, benefits, workers compensation, recruiting/retention plans, training/staff development, and employee relations. Requires leadership, organizational, supervisory and administrative abilities including excellent computer skills and knowledge of various software, internet based HR systems and email.
