We have an immediate hiring need for our full-time manufacturing Assembler level 4. This is a 2nd Shift role (M-F, 2:00PM – 10:00PM), in the 411department with a starting rate of $24.09 per hour with a 6% shift premium. Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. This position handles heavy gauge electrical wiring and plumbing routing and assembly in repetitive product manufacturing, identifies and selects appropriate wire types and gauges based upon electrical schematics and workmanship standards, and designs and constructs shipping pallets and crates. This position evaluates unique assembly and disassembly requirements and prepares an approach based upon safe work practices, cleans modules, restores painted surfaces, and performs general preparation prior to product shipment using dimension and layout electrical panel components per workmanship standards and concept drawings. The position follows instructions provided by a Tester to perform rework of product test anomalies and performs general preparation prior to product shipment. Position working environment requires assessing products returned from customers for service and plan restoration of control modules. This position interacts with, receive guidance from, and provide constructive feedback to Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Design Engineering to plan and develop methods of work to accomplish a wide variety of assembly tasks. Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 20 hours of overtime/week. Actual overtime hours may vary. Skills: Read, follow, and execute tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hardcopy drawings and work instructions. Follow standardized methods of work to accomplish an established set of assembly tasks Assemble components and sub-assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and in defined time frame Use tools including Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, Wire Strippers, Wire Luggers, Hand Tools, Fully Automated Test Systems, Torque Drivers, Lifting Fixtures, Stud Welder, Green Lee Punch, Heavy Wire Lugging, DIN Rail Cutter, Band Saw, Custom Lifting Fixtures, and Hoist & Crane Comfortable working from elevated surfaces Read and interpret engineering assembly drawings and electrical schematics Work from established product bill of materials, wiring schematics, and layout drawings of products currently manufactured and previously manufactured products from a variety of Manufacturing Operations facilities Basic computer literacy Basic ability to read, write and speak English Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 4 years of verified related experience Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
