Position Purpose
The Data and Application Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s data resources and applications to ensure they are used efficiently, securely, and effectively. This role involves overseeing data integration, application management, database management, and ensuring data quality and availability. The manager will collaborate with various departments to align data strategies with business goals and to support the organization’s data and application needs.
Essential Duties
1. Data Management:
- Oversee the management, storage, and organization of data across multiple platforms.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across the organization.
- Implement data governance and compliance standards.
- Monitor data usage and optimize data processes to improve efficiency.
2. Application Management:
- Manage and maintain enterprise applications to support business operations.
- Oversee the integration of various software applications with existing systems.
- Ensure that applications are up-to-date, secure, and functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for application support and updates.
3. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, application developers, and IT support staff.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
4. Project Management:
- Plan and oversee data and application projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project deliverables meet business needs.
- Track project progress and report on key metrics.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with business units to understand their data and application needs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align data and application strategies with business objectives.
- Facilitate training and support for end-users of applications and data systems.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in data and application management.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data and applications.
- Implement best practices to enhance the organization’s data and application capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, data integration, and application management.
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud-based data and application solutions is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data management, application management, or a related role.
Driving Category - Requirements
Driving Category B:
Employees who may drive RMHS or personal vehicles for business purposes. Category B employees may transport other employees but will not transport RMHS clients.
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of motor vehicle insurance
- Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work, including transporting individuals
- No major violations in the past three years.
- No more than two moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles
- Drivers must upload proof of ongoing auto insurance every 6 months into Paycom/Relias.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Certification in data management or project management (e.g., CDMP, PMP).
