Job Overview for the Division & Chapter Relations Associate :
The Division & Chapter Relations Associate is responsible for planning and executing strategies to assist division administrators and chapter leaders;
collaborating on messages that resonate with our members and industry supporters; and managing division and chapter-related administrative and technical responsibilities such as creating quarterly and annual reports.
Responsibilities for the Division & Chapter Relations Associate :
Division and Chapter Relations
- Support Volunteer Leaders and provide guidance on division elections, and nominating committees eligibility.
- Develop strategies to boost visibility
- Implement strategies to recruit, engage and train volunteers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ATA’s chapter affiliates and division administrators.
- Maintain an online portfolio of tools and resources to support volunteer leaders; develop marketing materials to help increase member engagement.
- Oversee Quarterly & Annual Affiliate Reports
- Assist with division quarterly reporting to the Board and manage chapter affiliate annual reporting process.
- Assist with updating and maintaining Division Manual and Chapter Relations Manual in accordance with policy.
- Create internal SOPs to manage and serve as staff liaison to Divisions and Chapters.
- Assists in the creating, planning, and implementation of chapter-based and national membership recruitment and retention programs.
- Assists in identifying, creating, planning, and developing new chapter programs and services.
- Supports our specialty divisions’ core services in the development and production of the association’s websites, newsletters, blogs, and mailing lists.
- Assist with developing chapter leadership pipelines to support succession planning.
- Assist with training chapter leaders on recruitment, retention, event planning and execution, donations, succession planning and networking.
- Assist with managing chapter affiliate and division pages on the association website.
- Oversees yearly division elections providing administrative guidance
Communications
- Oversee the scheduling and dissemination of Chapter and Division Event Email Communications.
- Assist with providing division membership and chapter membership reports and rosters to leadership as requested.
- Maintain updated event information on the events website calendar
- Maintain webpages related to chapter relations.
Qualifications for the Division & Chapter Relations Associate :
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience.
- 2 3 years of relevant experience with an AMS or related membership database platform. Salesforce experience a plus.
- 2 years of Chapter Relations experience.
- Experience working with Divisions and Special Interest Groups (SIG) a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, MailChimp, Asana and related project management tool.
- Database management experience.
- Affinity for technical learning and for sharing that learning.
- Impeccable attention to detail and logical, critical thinking.
