A real estate company is seeking to hire a Property Accountant. In this seat, you will be using Yardi software. The ideal candidate has a background using Yardi, a degree (preferred, but not required), relevant property accounting experience, and has the desire to grow within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations; Record adjusting and accrual entries and monitor cash balances
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles
- Staff Accountant will also eventually be responsible for review leases for compliance
- Additional Ad Hoc responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of relevant accounting experience; Real Estate is a plus
- Experience using an accounting system such as Yardi
- Must have the ability to communicate professionally with members of the team at all levels
