What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finish/Fine Grade Dozer Operator position at Rogers Group, Inc.?
Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the Dozer Operator position with our Madison Construction team, located in Madison, TN . This role will be focused on utilizing Dozers and other heavy equipment for grading and fine grading on base stone and earth-moving projects.
The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced dozer operator, and they must have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Responsibilities and requirements of the position include but are not limited to:
- 1-3 years of experience operating a mid to large-size dozer is required.
- Operate a dozer and other heavy or grading equipment to complete grading and fine grading tasks.
- Ability to operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill and proficiency and in challenging and unique terrain environments.
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
- Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Effective communication skills applicable to position.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year of experience operating a CAT D6, CAT D8, or similar mid to large-size dozer is required.
- Previous experience operating other pieces of heavy construction equipment is preferred.
- Previous experience operating a motor grader is a plus.
- Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
- Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
