About The Team
The Subscriptions team at Roku is focused on growing Roku’s subscriptions business by identifying opportunities to better compete in the SVOD landscape and working cross-functionally to ensure the optimal execution of those initiatives. As the company’s core business team thinking about subscriptions, we are setting the strategy and vision for Roku’s SVOD business and partnering closely with internal teams such as Partner Growth, Marketing, Merchandising, and Product to bring the vision to life. The Subscriptions team is also wholly responsible for the successful management of the Premium Subscriptions business within The Roku Channel, including identifying growth opportunities and managing day-to-day activities.
About The Role
Roku is seeking a detail-oriented operations manager to join its Subscriptions team. This role will execute key operational activities related to growing and maintaining the SVOD business within The Roku Channel (“Premium Subscriptions”). The role requires strong technical acumen in addition to excellent written and verbal communications and stakeholder management skills.
The Subscriptions Operations Manager will manage and improve existing processes to launch and maintain SVOD services and propose and implement new workflows to support operational activities across the Premium Subscriptions platform.
A successful candidate should have experience with technology-based products and processes, with a passion to innovate, and tackle complex problems. They will successfully deliver high quality outcomes while being able to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple stakeholders and processes to deadlines.
For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $75,000 and $144,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Support SVOD partner operations, ensuring seamless success through every phase of the lifecycle- from onboarding to post-launch operations (e.g., price changes, new plan launches, migrations, and deprecations)
- Lead cross-functional programs and facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders (Business, Product, Engineering, Merchandising, Marketing), pursuing follow-ups to ensure task completion
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks to processes, facilitating resolution internally
- Own program communication, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating as appropriate
- Process-manage investigations around user billing errors and implement solutions to rectify issues going forward
- Develop documentation and playbooks for initiatives and processes; manage post-launch learnings to identify areas for improvement
- Own and maintain calendar of Premium Subscriptions business operations activities and communicate status updates, risks, and changes to appropriate stakeholders
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field
- 4 years of relevant experience in a product operations or technical program management role
- Proven record of organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously and lead others
- Excellent project management abilities, with the competence to dive deep into the weeds of technical implementation
- Positive attitude and can remain focused in a high pressure, ambiguous environment
- Experience in and/or understanding of the digital media space, streaming platforms, and software development
- Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Airtable, Confluence, JIRA a plus
