Seeking a warehouse professional interested in a hands-on role helping to manage the flow of products in and out of our warehouse in Grand Rapids, MI. We are looking for an individual who can give appropriate attention to detail, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the shipping components have the same quality as our product.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
• A minimum of one year of relevant work experience. A background in shipping or warehousing is desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in inventory management/receiving large quantities of smaller based items
• Experience in packaging unique items
• Ability to use small hand tools, including saws, hammers, crowbars, hot glue and box cutters
• Knowledge of quality control practices is a plus
• An eye for detail. A team-oriented approach to meeting goals, including a willingness to help out at various stations within the warehouse and cleanup of communal workspaces
• A proactive work ethic, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work autonomously
• Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks for tasks such as unloading a trailer
• Demonstrated computer proficiency; NetSuite experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work on your feet up to 95% of the day
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to move and climb a ladder safely
• Specific vision abilities include color vision
• Ability to handle fragile objects, including glass and marble, with care;
• May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
• Willingness to develop in-depth knowledge of Roll & Hill products

Shipping Responsibilities

• Packing finished fixtures of varying dimensions carefully for shipment, both domestically and internationally;
• Using various hand and power tools, including foam cutters and table saws, to assemble package inserts and crates;
• Inspecting every fixture for quality control purposes before it leaves the building;

Receiving Responsibilities

• Receiving material physically and completing receiving transactions/entries within the ERP System.
• Providing customer service to internal clients, including Purchasing, Shipping, Sales and Assembly;
• Identifying and counting high quantities of parts accurately and inspecting raw parts for damage or irregularities
• Interacting with the visual Inventory System (KanBan) to provide feedback for parts removed (putting up signal cards when bins are emptied and taking down signal cards when bins are filled)
• Other assigned duties and ad hoc projects, as needed.
