Rolling V Bus Corp.Earn and learn by committing to the Company’s Commercial Drivers’ License Training Program. New classes being scheduled every 8 weeks.
Commit to the program, qualify for the opportunity and begin work as a School Bus Aide. The company will provide you with classroom training to obtain your CDL Permit followed by vehicle / behind the wheel training and all the support you need to take the road test to become a licensed school bus driver.
The hourly rate for working as a aide while training to be a school bus driver, pays $17.00 / hour for both work and training time.
Training approximately 2 hours during the mid-day will be scheduled so that it does not interfere with your working hours as a bus aide
Once you have your CDL License, earn the driver guaranteed 4.5 hours daily at the van rate of $17.00 or bus rate of $20.
00 / hour depending on the work assignments available and the size of vehicle you drive. The license gives you the opportunity to attain more than the minimum hours of 4.
5 per day, with access to posted late runs, midday or charter trips assignments.
The basics of the job is to get kids safely to and from school according to a daily fixed schedule. Must be able a capable and cooperative communicator, interacting with parent / guardians, school officials and coworkers.
Requirements :
Completion of Job Application and New Hire Packet : NYS and Federal documents and background check required for a position of working with children and people with developmental disabilities.
Identification : Provide satisfactory forms of ID to be employed.
References : Approval for the company to speak to three references provided by the applicant.
Other Documentation : History of residential addresses.
Background Investigation Review : Applicant to provide authorization for the company to conduct Background Checks to comply with Federal, State, School, and Company regulations and policies.
Pre-employment Physical, Drug / Alcohol Test : Provided by an independent outside entity paid for by the Rolling V Bus.
Physical Performance Test : Climb and descend the bus steps; from a seated position quickly exit oneself from the bus; exit from the rear emergency door;
carry or drag a 125 lb. weight to demonstrate ability to evacuate a person from the bus.
Training : Initial six-hour pre-service, paid; ongoing general and target-specific skills as required may be required.
Base In-Training to Drive Payrate : $17.00 / hour.
