What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Associate position at Ron Jon Surf Shop?
Ron Jon Surf Shop Cocoa Beach is seeking a full time maintenance associate to join our maintenance team. Must be able to operate basic building maintenance equipment and tools, follow deadlines and comply with safety throughout the grounds..
Job includes a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to; trash removal, irrigation repair, power washing, painting, minor carpentry work (e.g. preparing surfaces to apply paints, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.); minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, bulbs, ballast, etc.); minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. unclogging of drains, etc.) and special projects as assigned. High lift experience not required but a plus. Must be able to communicate with team members effectively; work safely and be able to multi-task.
This is a 40 hours per week, full time/ non-exempt position. The shift hours will be discussed. Pay will be dependent on experience.

- Often working on scaffolding or lifts at heights up to 60 feet.
- Lifting (up to 50 lbs.), walking, reaching, carrying, climbing and pushing.
- Work in outdoor conditions daily.
Minimum Job Requirements
- 18 years or older.
- Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Must have current/valid driver’s license.
