Furniture Delivery Driver / Customer Service (We're growing!)

Overview

We're growing and actively hiring talented people to join our Oak Brook Delivery Driver team! Multiple Delivery Driver positions available.

You're a delivery driver who does more than just "make deliveries". You create moments that surprise and delight customers!

As a Delivery Driver with Room & Board you do more than just “make deliveries,” you create extraordinary experiences for our customers and act as a strong brand ambassador for both our high-quality products and reputation.

You’re a confident, career-minded professional who prefers variety in your work and enjoys the balance of being outside making local deliveries to our customers with a delivery partner averaging about 8 to 12 deliveries per day (±75% of time) with being indoors working in our warehouse (±25% of time). You’ll join a dedicated, cross-functional team responsible for product inspection, assembly, staging and local full-service delivery of our beautiful American-made furniture and home accessories. You focus equally on safety and a job well done.

Schedule: Schedule will depend upon the rotation you're working. When making local deliveries it is Tuesday - Saturday 6:30am to 3:00pm and when in our delivery center preparing product of deliveries it is Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm (both with occasional paid overtime).

Additional requirements we seek in our delivery drivers:

• At least 21 years of age (Interstate DOT requirement)
• Ability to drive a 24-foot box truck (training provided)
• Able to lift/carry heavy items (±300 lbs.) with the assistance of a team member and/or proper lifting equipment
• Able to pass pre-employment requirements: criminal background check, clinic physical, drug screen and safe driving record

What we offer our delivery drivers:

• Guaranteed annual salary: $42,000 ($20.19/hr) depending on experience/qualifications, plus paid overtime
