This role will allow you yo combine creativity and technical knowledge to produce functionally beautiful spaces for our clients. With you as part of the design team, interiors have never been so engaging! You will be involved in the design and delivery of workplace strategy and interiors projects from end to end.
We are looking for a passionate and innovative Interior Designer, with 5-8 years of workplace interior experience. If you are interested in creating workplace design solutions that align people, culture, processes, and technology with our client’s organizational goals for a successful and innovative outcome then this is the team to join.
As an Interior Designer in our New York office, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional conceptual design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts.

What you’ll do:
- Work as part of a team on interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation and project management.
- Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, 3d modeling/rendering, presentation packages, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.
- Design flexible workspaces.
- Provide programming and space planning analysis and area calculations.
- Work independently and alongside a team to meet project constraints of budget and schedule.
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
- Develop, prepare, and coordinate presentation materials.
- Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
- Foster and cultivate a culture of design of the office and strives to elevate design quality on projects.
- Work with design and technical directors, senior designers and architects, as well as external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Manage all phases of corporate interiors projects, including project set-up, design, construction administration, delivery and implementation.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 5 years of interior design experience of varying types of commercial projects and workplace projects.
- Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max and other modeling software programs
- Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
- Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong graphic communication skills, including advanced hand sketching/creative ideation
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn
- Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships
- NCIDQ/CID required
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required.
