What we are looking for:
Do you like working in a fast-paced environment? Wearing multiple hats? Learning new skill-sets? This position will assist senior management in performing daily accounting and administrative support for real estate and development projects.
As the Financial Accountant, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain company books and general ledger via Quickbooks
- Invoicing
- Generating Reports
- Bank Reconciliations
- Bill Pay
- AR/AP
- Manage collections
- Check Deposits
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with tenants and vendors
- General Bookkeeping duties
- Filing
- Purchasing
- Working with other members of the team to ensure accuracy and expediency
- Verify/Create Rent Rolls
- Oversee/Create monthly management reports
- Clerical and administrative support as necessary
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company books & records
- Maintain current insurance property paperwork and corporate city filing documents
- Maintain an organized and efficient filing system within the departments
- Prepare mailings and priority shipments for accounting and project departments
- Other related duties as assigned
- Monitoring contracts and agreements with vendors, consultants, banks, tenants, contractors, municipalities, etc.
- A team-player that efficiently and effectively interacts with other internal executives, external business leaders, and public figures.
Who you are and what you bring:
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
- Passion for the field of real estate development
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Grace under pressure, the ability to switch gears quickly
- Strong technical aptitude
- Bookkeeping experience, Quickbooks experience
- Strong excel skills a must
- Uncompromising personal integrity
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong sense of personal motivation and responsibility
- Love for entrepreneurship and wearing multiple hats
