Job Summary:
The Coordinator of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Site will provide a safe and efficient environment for optimal recovery of all participants in a Roper St. Francis Cardiac Rehab satellite center. Duties include exercise prescription, coordination of all educational efforts, EKG and vital sign monitoring, physician correspondence and interaction with Medical Director and referring physicians.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: BS Physical Education, Exercise Science or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: One-year full time experience with Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Knowledge/Skills: Ability to handle multiple patient questions and concerns. EKG recognition. Immediate recognition of untoward exercise response. Quick decision making ability.

Other: Positive, motivational attitude required. Public relations skills valuable.
Contacts: Employee will frequently interact with Cardiac patients, family members of patients, coworkers, physicians, general public. Rare to occasional contact with community organizations and vendors.
