What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Assistant position at Roper St. Francis Healthcare?
The Senior Center Support Assistant has the overall responsibility for office management of the senior center, management of membership database and membership services, oversight of front desk/reception volunteers and program registration and payment processes, managing cash receipts journal, development of press releases, development and implementation of rental program, and resource information and referral. Other job tasks include identifying, organizing and distribution of resource information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associates degree preferred.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an office environment required; 2 years preferred. Experience working with older adults, providing excellent customer service, and handling multiple tasks preferred.

Knowledge/Skills: Proficient with current Microsoft Office, Windows 2000/XE, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and email software as well as computer terminals, printers, copiers and fax machines. Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. Ability to remain calm in a fast � paced environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and prioritize. Must be self directed and able to work independently. Must be able to communicate effectively with people of variable cultural and education backgrounds.
