We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team! The goal is to inspire, inform, and captivate our community shoppers. You will create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. Your graphics will capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. You have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. Details you should know

• Schedule: Choice of 8 hour shift or 10 hour shift on Thursday & Friday each week.
• Pay range: $20 - $23 per hour

What you’ll do each day

You will apply design aesthetic, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as promotional advertising materials, communication media, and other print and digital materials to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate our community shoppers.

• Advertising, Marketing & Event materials layout, design and production. Creative development, input text, content and photos into InDesign templates. Output to PDF for press and proofing.
• Use of spell check to ensure proper spelling of ad information.
• Must pay extreme attention to detail and have high level proofreading skills on own work as well as work of team members.
• Must perform well under pressure, keeping quality of work at a high level, while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
• Stay organized and understand ad calendars and deadlines.
• Work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and other Departments.
• Work on cross-training with other staff members to assist in covering for absences.
• Create miscellaneous bag stuffers, signage & company magazine.
• Download, resize, clip and manipulate photos in Photoshop.
• Creatively incorporate themes and seasonal artwork as needed.
• Create low resolution PDFs for online viewing.
• Post PDFs to web sites.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

You'll also need to...

• Be 18 years or older.
• Complete a pre-employment background check

• Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently on an assignment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
