Head Chef

Summary:

The Head Chef is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of food for the buffet. Maintains a high level of professionalism in the kitchen. Always follow food safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage food costs and inventory.
• Make sure the work area and kitchen equipment are clean and always organized.
• Make sure that hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold, maintaining food safety standards.
• Keeping the food coolers organized and clean.
• Monitoring food stock and placing orders to ensure the kitchen has the necessary ingredients on hand
• Checks in deliveries and puts away stock when and after it arrives.
• Check the buffet temperatures.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and checking food and ingredients for freshness
• Create prep lists for the kitchen.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
