YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY :
The Field Payroll Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical assistance to the Field Payroll Department.
Document scanning and indexing for the department. Verifying and organizing New / rehires. Process multiple weekly union / non-union payrolls with more than 200 employees including multiple companies.
Manage some aspects of Certified Payroll and Fringe administration while developing efficient processes and assisting with the weekly / monthly reporting.
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
Payroll exception clearing during payroll processing.
Importing new hire paperwork from DocuSign to our web capture system.
Verify accuracy and arrange new / re-hire paperwork.
Collaborate with field admins and personnel to retrieve missing or incomplete new / rehire paperwork.
Receive and organize department mail.
Keep up to date and maintain input into E-Verify
Scan and index new / re-hire and current employee files / maintenance.
Prioritize and process all timecards from remote field locations and process them through the full payroll cycle.
Assist with EDD wage audits and reports.
Assist with verification of employment.
Assist W-2 reprint request.
Assist with certified payroll / prevailing wage reporting
Prepare hours experience verification for union members.
Maintain company assigned vehicles log and ensure accurate taxability is applied

WHAT YOU BRING TO US :
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years administrative experience in payroll
Experience in a union payroll is preferred
Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
Must be accurate, analytical, very detailed oriented and organized
Payroll / Finance multi-state tax knowledge preferred
10-key, data entry, and computer skills are required
Detail-orientated and possesses research and analytical talents with the ability to multi-task
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Effective oral and written communication skills required for the position
Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WORKING CONDITIONS :
General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium
Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.

Pay Range
$21.00-$28.00 Hourly
