We are looking for an ambitious Assisted Living regional manager that wants to work hard and help to care for our incredible residents. Ownership is truly looking more for a partner in this, not just a team member. There are not very many opportunities like this, where there is an upside based off performance and tenure.
We have 3 total properties in Southeastern Idaho (Twin Falls, Burley and Pocatello) with more to add in the future.
Owner has multiple medical based companies where all of his time and efforts are spent and who currently has desire to create mini healthcare facilities of forward-thinking healthcare practices to provide even more value and care to the communicates in which the facilities serve.
We are looking less for a seasoned, experienced individual but more for character and work ethic. Dynamics in this business can be difficult but with the right mentality and management style in empowering those that care each and everyday for our residents, true synergy and success is very possible.
Each of the properties is currently managed 100% by each Admin but we lack that something 'extra' in taking them from being more Medicaid based properties to Private Pay. This is where the vast majority of your time and energy will be spent. Biz Development and building financial accountability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with and holding accountable each building Admin in planning and executing on each facility's budget
- Help each Admin with recruiting, retention
- Because each building has local Admin and management, majority of the time and efforts spent will be done through targeted marketing strategies highlighting each buildings strengths and to reach and maintain a 60% private pay census 40% Medicaid.
- Conducting on-site evals of the building cleanliness and in general how it is being maintained both on interior and exterior
- High level monitoring a facility's compliance with state regulations
While strong business management responsibilities make up the bulk of a regional operator's daily agenda, another essential aspect of the job is to serve and teach Admins how to be a face and leader of the facility, which requires less quantifiable and more human directives, such as:
- Acting as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and community when needed
- Engaging with residents and staff via facility walkthroughs
- Developing a culture of compassion throughout the facility
- Ensuring a safe, equitable, and engaging living environment
- Keeping the facility pivoted towards resident-centric operations
- Oversee all general operations at each property
- Report to Ownership with assigned reporting metrics
- On call 24 hours a day for emergency/crisis situations
- When absolutely needed, work weekends and holiday on call rotation to assure appropriate coverage on weekends and holidays
- 3 or more years' previous management experience in the long-term care industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer and Microsoft Office experience with ability to create reports and analyze operational issues
- A desire to work with senior adults
- Ability to develop employees and leadership
- Ability to solve complex operational and people problems
- Oversight in the smooth running of HR and administrative tasks for the organization
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs.
- Support local management in resolving residence complaints and service recovery process.
- Responsible for reviewing Admin performance
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records including cash flows sheet, guest floor limit, AR Ageing reports, Direct billing etc.
- Responsible to report and understand each week the discharges and admissions of each building
- Responsible for enforcing full compliance to assisted living facility's operating controls, SOP's, policies, procedures and service standards.
- Ensures the objectives and goals of the group and property owners work together to achieve brand positioning and success.
- Take responsibility and build owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.
- Responsible for Providing effective leadership to Assisted living facility team members.
- Must be available 24/7 in case to respond to any guest or employee emergencies.
- Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
- Show capacity to perform other duties as assigned by the management.
- In situation where a new Admin is needed, responsible for recruiting and interviewing potential candidates. Caregivers and other daily team members are responsibility of the Admin
- Identifies the developmental needs of assisted living facility staff and provide coaching, mentoring to improve their knowledge or skills as required.
