Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for general journal entry preparation and entry
- Responsible for preparing monthly account reconciliations in a complete, accurate, and timely manner
- Responsible for various treasury functions including daily cash reconciliation, including payments, deposits, cash forecast and cash management of over 30 bank accounts within multiple companies.
- Responsible for fixed asset and Capital project accounting management; as well as any other project tracking deemed necessary
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of the annual budget
- Responsible for providing general accounting support including, but not limited to financial reporting/analysis; account reconciliation/analysis; month-end and year-end close process; cash forecasting process; and other project work as assigned.
- Responsible for intercompany transactions and reconciliation
- Provides assistance with annual audit providing information and documentation to external auditors.
- Enhances, ensures, and promotes corporate separateness
- Various special projects for Accounting Manager
- Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing and e-mail.
- Understands RES’ ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and assists with executing its objectives.
- Performs other job-related Ad-hoc duties assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- Two-Four years of accounting experience with a Public Accounting Firm or Manufacturing Company.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Analytical and auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile complex General Ledger accounts
- Required: At least one year of experience with maintaining Fixed Asset processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to develop and/or improve policies, procedures, and practices.
- Position requires exercise of independent judgment and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Experience with multi-corporations or divisions highly desired.
- Ability to provide cross-functional support highly desired.
- Must be willing to work extended hours as necessary.
