Position Summary:
Rotex is looking for an Inventory Analyst to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. As an Inventory Analyst you will be responsible for performing analytical activities related to inventory management using Lean principles. You will work with Buyers, Buyer/Planners, Supervisors, Shop Personnel, and Suppliers to define, develop, and implement continuous improvement projects in all areas of the supply chain.

Rotex is looking for an Inventory Analyst to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. As an Inventory Analyst you will be responsible for performing analytical activities related to inventory management using Lean principles. You will work with Buyers, Buyer/Planners, Supervisors, Shop Personnel, and Suppliers to define, develop, and implement continuous improvement projects in all areas of the supply chain.
What you’ll do:
- Continually identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement inventory related processes to reduce costs, waste, and lead times while exceeding customers' expectations. Lead analytical studies targeting inventory process improvement.
- Set inventory levels and re-order points for all stocking areas through PFEP (Plan For Every Part) analysis.
- Plan, initiate, and assist in cycle count programs to improve inventory accuracy and ensure count frequencies are adhering with company requirements.
- Use Lean principles to analyze fact-based performance metrics and data, understand, and apply the numbers while explaining and addressing inventory discrepancies.
- At the direction of the Inventory Manager, plan and conduct Physical Inventories as established by management. Determine actions to achieve YOY improvements in inventory accuracy.
- Determine necessary purchased items required for the completion of customer orders. Conduct negotiations with suppliers as needed and place purchase orders to obtain the best possible value while meeting appropriate quality and delivery requirements.
- Establish and lead programs to reduce inventory while maintaining on-time delivery goals.
- Develop and implement appropriate work instructions / process plans and perform necessary training to support the supply chain while emphasizing the role of inventory management within the Supply Chain.
- Perform other assignments or duties appropriate to the overall responsibility of the position.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in operations management, engineering, or business preferred; and 2 years' related inventory management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Base knowledge of ERP system
- Database Software, Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP, purchasing
